Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to information when you use forkandballs.com, published as The Rolled Plate. It was last reviewed on 26 October 2026.

What we collect when you read

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social media pixels on this site. Our web server and our network provider (Cloudflare) process the technical data every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. Server logs are kept for a short time and are not used to build profiles of readers.

When you click a link marked as a partner or sponsored link, our site counts the click: we store the date, the position of the link on the page and which partner it was. We do not store your IP address or any identifier with that count.

When you write to us

If you use the contact form or send email to kitchen@forkandballs.com, we receive your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to read and answer your note and to fix anything you point out. Messages are kept as long as they are useful for that and then deleted. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to filter out automated spam; Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Partner links and their cookies

Some pages link to shops through affiliate programs, including the CJ Affiliate network and the MaxBounty network. When you click one of those links, you leave our site, and the network and the shop may set cookies or use similar technology on their own sites to record that the visit came from us, so that a purchase can be credited. Those cookies are set by them, not by us, and are covered by their privacy policies. Partner images may be loaded from the network's servers. If you prefer not to be tracked this way, you can block third-party cookies in your browser or visit a shop directly instead of through our link.

Cookies on this site

Readers get no cookies from us. A sign-in cookie is set only for the site's editors when they log in to the admin area. The cookie policy has the details.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you from a message you sent, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to kitchen@forkandballs.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights under local law, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is written for adults who cook. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
